Yes, I see the same two families on that census, and based upon the death certificate information for their two sons (in Arkansas) I believe this might be the same Lorena Perry that is mentioned on the certs. Trouble is... I don't know if she journeyed to Arkansas with the family or died in Tennessee before they made the move to northern Arkansas. At any rate - thanks for looking for me. Would any of the dates that you saw for the Perry's fit any of the Perry family listed on the 1850 census? Just curious if it's not too much trouble. This cemetery is located in the SE 1/4 of SE 1/4, Section 3, T1R4W. Note: The following article was taken from "The Legacy" researched by Bob Dunnavant: "Less than a mile from the chalybeate spring at Pettusville, where resort guests relaxed at the Pettusville Hotel and drank the health-restoring waters of the spring, a serious drama took place when, on a May day in 1879, Alice Loveless Bailes and her unborn child were lowered into the grave, victims of brutal murder at the hands of her husband, John. Bob Dunnavant visited the site early in January, 1985, in search of the grave of John Bailes, who was hung by an angry mob on the Athens courthouse lawn on Aug. 7, 1880 after several earlier attempts were thwarted by officials of the law. The cemetery is in the original Bailes Hollow situated about 100 yards north of the old Bailes homeplace. Only an old chimney, almost covered by weeds, marks the spot of the house. The site can be reached either by an old road leading from the spring at Pettusville, or by turning off on the Ragsdale Creek Rd. Bob did not find John's grave....According to the story told Bob by his guide, Walter Sims, Bailes stood up in the woods and watched as Alice was buried. It is interesting to note that the name "Bailes" is missing from the stone. It is also interesting to speculate as to why, with feeling running so high against her murderer, Alice was buried in the Bailes Cemetery.
