    1. [TNGILES-L] Church in Giles County
    2. Does any one know how many towns are in Giles County?? On a film of church records I found my great great great Uncle , it stated that he was a member from 1866 - 1867 at the Mt. Lebonan Missionary Baptist Church. It does not state which town just Giles County Tennesee. I need to find which town this church is or was in and maybe I can find his marriage. He is my most wanted !! Samuel D. Durham born 1846 , he had his first son in 1866. In1860 he is 14 years old in Giles Co Tenn. Can't find him after 1860 on any census and not with parents in 1870 and then 1880 his 2 children are with his parents..... I am thinking him and his wife had died. Does anyone know the towns listed for Giles County or have ever heard of the Mt. Lebonan Missionary Baptist Church?? Thanks terri

    2. In 1880 Census of Tennesee a S. D. Durham b: 1866 and William L. Durham b 1873 was shown living with Robert and Elizabeth Durham as their grandsons... I have been unable to determine their parents as of yet but do believe that they are Samuel D Durhams as he was the only one not listed in 1870 on census. Robert DURHAM b: Abt 1811 in Virginia/Tenn m: in Lincoln Co Tenn Elizabeth RIGGS b: Abt 1825 in Virginia, They had 12 kids. One was Samuel D DURHAM. He is found living with his parents age 14yrs In Giles Co Tenn in 1860. In 1870 he is missing and I can not locate him anywhere. I did find a Samuel D DURHAM on some Gile County Church records that he was a memeber from 1866 to 1867 in the "Mt Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church" but can not find in what town, maybe this is where he was married.... If anyone knows of this church I am great need to find the town where it was/is located. He left his kids in 1880 with his parents as I listed above.. which I believe he and wife may have died... any help will be greatly appreciated. Terri Durham-Stone email terrigem@aol.com
