    1. Re: [TNGILES-L] Calendar dates
    2. Dear List, FYI, in case anyone who has FTM programs doesn't know this, you can find the date for anytime, and print a calendar too, in the calendar section of your FTM program. All you have to do is reset the year for the year you want. It's great. Heather

    1. [TNGILES-L] Calendar dates
    2. Virginia Poarch
    3. I use Print Shop to do my greeting cards, banners and calendars. Am sure other similar programs will do the same. I can print calendars for the 1800's, 1900's, 2000's. Especially helpful when I have a newspaper obit which says they died last Sunday. I print out a calendar for that month and year and file it with the Obit. Virginia

    1. [TNGILES-L] Info on Randolph's
    2. I think I have finally found the Randolph's in Giles Co. that I have been looking for, a great big thanks to all who has helped me get over this part of my brick wall. However, I still have a few questions & am hoping someone can help find an answer. According to the 1910 Giles Co. Census, Frank Randolph was 53, Martha ( his wife ) was 65, a daughter that I can not make out the name of was 21, Emma L. ( my grandmother ) was 18, Ida B. was 18, and a son named Walter was 14. I found these Randolph's on the 4 th civil district, 18-06a. All of the above mentioned were born in Tennessee. Would anyone happen to know... 1) Who was james frank Randolph's parents ? 2) Who was Martha A. Stafford's parents ? 3) Who did Ida Bell or ( belle ) marry ? 4) Who was this other sister ? 5) What ever happened to Walter ? if the census is true, and i believe it is, Martha was born abt. 1845 which means that she was abt. 51 when she gave birth to Walter. Just thought i would throw that in, seemed somewhat strange to me at first to be bearing children at that age, but then again my grandmother ( my mom's mother ) was 40 when she had her last child, so i guess it is not so uncommon afterall, huh ? Anyway, if there is anyone out there who can help me with this family I would appreciate it. and no, I do not expect everyone to do the work for me, but hoping maybe someone might have some info that they may be willing to share. Thanks in advance. Robbie

I have a Gordon line but can't find anything on any McCandless' marrying into it in and around Giles Co., Tennessee (or anywhere else for that matter). I know that there were several Gordon's in that area and not all of them were directly related. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Fred Gordon in Texas

They had another daughter, her name was Ida, she was born in 1893, also in Giles Co. I spoke with my aunt and she remembers several children being born into this family. 1. [TNGILES-L] A Lot of Brick Walls/ Long's from Giles Co.
    2. Who was Daniel Long's Parents? When was Daniel Long born ? According to records he was married on Oct. 15, 1882, to Sarah J. Johnson, but can not find him in any of the census. When did he die ? Where did he die ? Was Wilson Long, Wesley Long, Ezra Long, Maggie Long, and Wiley Long really Daniel Long's children ? When and where were Wesley, Ezra. Maggie, and Wiley born ? According to records Wilson Long was born on April 7, 1892 in Giles Co. Who did Wesley, Ezra, Maggie, and Wiley marry ? According to records Wilson Long married Emma Lee Randolph on July 3, 1910 in Giles Co. Could it be possible that the 2 Long's found named Wesley Long and Ezra Long were my uncles ? Both are listed in the cemetery listings... Wesley Long born 12/ 31 / 1896 and died on 8/ 21 / 1975 buried at the MNW cemetery. Ezra Long 1881 only date, buried at the BC cemetery. As you can see, I have still alot of unanswered questions, brick walls, so if there is anyone out there who could maybe shed some light here at the end of this tunnel, I would certainly appreciate it. Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart. Good luck in all your own searches. Robbie
