I just found out that Ida b. Randolph died abt. 1965 or 1966 in Limestone county. I also found out that her daughter Rena is in a nursing home in Athens, Alabama. I was told that Rena Randolph married a Jim Marlow, I may have the name mispelled. I was told that the Marlow family was from Giles county. Does anyone know of this family ? Here's hoping. Does anyone happen to know what happened to Ida B. Randolph ? She was the daughter of James Frank Randolph & Martha Stafford. I know she never married. On the 1920 census of Giles Co. she has a daughter, 5 yrs. of age I believe. I can not make out her name, but heard it was Rena. I also heard that Wesley Long was the father. Wesley moved to Limestone co. Alabama. On the 1910 census of Limestone co. he is listed with his wife Mary Lou Randolph, and several children. Thanks in advance. Robbie

Mary according to the message that you had sent me Sept 06 1998, in reference to Desecendants of John McCracken, the parents of William Steven Crabb born March 17, 1850 in Limestone Co. Alabama , father John Lawry Crabb and mother Sarah Jane Snipes. as for Mary E. Mott she was the daughter of John McCracken Jr. and his wife Susan R. Ashford Mary Ellen McCracken brn Oct 28, 1853 she first married a Daniel M Mott April 2 1871 and then married William Steven Crabb Feb 22 1874 now all this information is based on what you had sent me Sept of last year. My primary research is the Pyle family however the Pyle family was married into the Ashford , and McCracken families of Giles Co. I am trying to connect my grgrandmother, Ann E. (Babe) Elgar to the family of Philander Elgar in Tishomingo Co, MS. She was born in 1853 and was orphaned by 1860 when, according to family lore, she went to TN to live with an aunt. She married in 1873 in Giles Co. TN to William Franklin Belue. I haven't ever been able to definately connect her to any family, but feel strongly that she is the daughter of Philander and Nancy Ann Gilman. Taylor b.1817 TN and Lucy Ann Phillips b. 1818 VA were married in 1834 in Giles Co., TN They had the following children: Olivia A., David, Robert, Mary E., Eliza J., John J. and Zachary. They were living in Giles Co. TN in the 1850 Census, but by 1860 they had left, and they don't show up again until the 1870 Census in Henry Co. TN. Does this family sound familiar?
