Does anyone know of this family ? They were in Giles Co. 4 th Civil District, on Pulaski & Alabama Road, in 1910. Randolph, Frank. Head. W. M. age 53 Martha Wife. W. F. age 65 Nancy C. daughter. W. F. age 21 Emma L. daughter. W. F. age 18 Ida B. daughter. W. F. age 18 Walter H. son W. M. age 14 Then in 1920, Frank Randolph, Martha Randolph, Ida Randolph, and a daughter to Ida, named Rena was there. I know Emma Lee Randolph married Wilson Long, and they had moved to Limestone co. I do not know what happened to Frank, Martha, or Nancie. Any info on this family would be appreciated as I have hit many brick walls with them. Thanks in advance. Robbie

I first got acquainted with him while he lived in Virginia and I have been acquainted with him ever since I moved to this county which is upwards of twenty years, and from the old men in the neighborhood it is and always was believed that he was a Revolutionary Soldier and I believe him to be about 84 years old, and he has always supported the character of an honest man. And I believe his oath ought to be taken in any court in testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st day of July, 1833. John SAUNDERS (Seal) State of Tennessee, Smith County, I Sam LAWRENCE, a Justice of the Peace in the county aforesaid do hereby certify that John SAUNDERS, whose certificate is herewith made came before me in my said county and made oath that the above certificate contained truths and I do further certify that due faith and credit ought to be given to all his facts and such given from under my hand and seal this 31st day of July, 1833. Sam LAWRENCE (Seal) I, James M. JONES, of the County of Smith, and the State of Tennessee, being called on by John JONES of the County of Maury, in the State aforesaid, do say what I know about his Revolutionary War Service. I well recollect of living near the said John JONES in Albemarle County in the State of Virginia at the commensement of the War and as well as I can recollect it was about thirty or forty years after the war...................I think to the best of my recollection from..................He the said John JONES was called out................but in what regiment. But I well recollect that I had to go to the mill for the said John JONES wife very frequently in the time he was in the service and I do believe that he served about 3 years and seven months with exception of five weeks. I have always known the said John JONES from the time he entered the Revolutionary service unto this day and I believe him to be about 83 or 84 years old and he has always supported the character of a honest man and man of honor, and the reason I recollect the circumstances is that my father went into the service at the same time in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st day of July, 1833. James M. JONES I, Sam LAWRENCE, a Justice of the Peace of the County of Smith and State of Tennessee this day came before me James M. Dear Listers, I am so sorry. After I saw all the e-mails about my post I went back and re-read it. I now see why it was confusing. The surnames I mentioned were not for the marriage records. They were in the queries section. Again I'm sorry for confusing anybody. To get to the Williamson County Genweb page click on: http://three-legged-willie.org/ You can scroll down to the link for the Williamson County Genealogical Society or you can click on: http://www.flash.net/~hmwalden/wcgs.htm You will find the books that are for sale there and the address. I hope I have cleared up this mess I made. Sometimes I goof too. LOL Carole Tyler in CA
Hi Ginny, I have no idea why they published it. Maybe whoever put it together lives there. I just went to the Williamson Co Genweb site and got the info to order the book. I scanned the surnames and noticed there are several that I have seen in Giles. Maynot be from Giles tho. Most of my Tylers moved to TX from Giles, the same area too. Anyway thanks for the info. I would never have found this book if not for you. Hi, This message will be going to several lists so I am sorry if you get more than one. I have my husband's family traced back to when they came to the states so now I am interested in getting documents to prove my findings. How difficult is is working with the state, counties and the town clerks in getting BMD records. I am working within the time frame of about 1822 to about 1880. I have done this sort of work before with my family and one state has been a nightmare. I always give the example that with my particular state, it is far easier to pull teeth from a hungry shark than it is to get any form of document from these people. Thank you for your time and response. Sue macduff@citrus.infi.net
