It is a real help. I do know that Barney Merrell was born in Bedford Co TN. This might help with your research because there might be some informtion there. This according to his CSA record. I got a Bible record showing Barney and Sara as Witnesses at their Daughter Ada's marraige. Also giving his death date of 1891. I also know from an 1850 Census that Barney lived with his Mother Mary in Giles Co. I assume Barney was not listed because he was in the CSA army. Are either of them in the Yant Merrell Cemetery? My line is through Jennie Louise Hubbell. Tirzah was born Apr 1824 in Tennessee, married James Boatright Hubbell on 22 March 1842 in Maury County, TN. She died 16 Nov 1900 in Giles County, TN and is buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Giles County, TN. I don't have her ancestry confirmed although I think she was part of the Bell family living in the Hamshire area of Maury County in the early 1800's. Any help with her ancestry would be appreciated Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
