    1. [TNGILES] Wilmoth Foster m. Jubal Grisham 1831
    2. Bob Klose
    3. Wilmoth Foster m. Jubal Grisham 13 July 1831 in Maury Co., Tennessee. They moved to old Tishomingo Co., MS from Giles Co., TN before the 1840 census. Wilmoth said to be born in Virginia. Who were her parents? Possible relations are the Wilmoth Foster who married Jesse Garrigus about 1845 in Giles Co., TN. Jesse Garrigus moved to Pope Co., Arkansas. This Wilmoth was b. about 1827, d. about 1852 in Giles Co. >From the 1850 Giles census it can be deduced that this younger Wilmoth's mother was the 66 year old Anne Foster of Virginia. Anne (also sp. Anna) was on the 1830 & 1840 Giles censuses as head of household. Appears to have been widowed prior to 1830. Who was Anne's husband? There was a William Foster in Giles Co. on the 1820 census. Living next to door to Anne Foster in 1830/40 was a Henry Foster. He is in Searcy Co., AR by 1850. He owned land straddling the Giles/Maury Co. line and sold out in the late 1840s. Suspect these Fosters are related to the many Fosters who moved from Charlotte Co., VA to Rutherford and Maury Co., TN before 1820. There is a Richard Foster b. before 1775 in Maury Co. by 1820. Is it possible he is the same Richard Foster who m. Wilmoth Worsham 1789 in Charlotte Co? Most online data says he died about 1819. I've seen no proof. Does anyone know how they might be related to the Drury Foster of VA who died in Giles Co. about 1840? His daughter Lucy married Thomas Grisham and is the subject of a notorious land swindle. She too moved to Tishomingo Co. PS I've assumed for some time that I descend from a son of the Henry Foster in Giles Co., but there is not a male of the right age in his 1830 household. But there are two males the right age in Anne Foster's household.

Zion/Frankewing Cemetery located at the Methodist Church on Hwy 64E at Frankewing, based on the info in "Cemetery Records of Giles County, Second Edition" (published in 1998 that lists the cemetery enumeration done in 1986). Trouble is that I did not find Irene Thompson nor her parents listed in that cemetery. I checked for other Thompsons listed in the book's index without finding the names you mentioned. I did find a listing for "James Raymond, son of J.K. and Mary Thompson, b: 9 July 1912, d: 9 May 1914" in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Her main, Robert Montgomery, line moved west & settled in Lincoln County, Kansas. Our Robert had 7 brothers & sisters, I don't have any idea where they ended up. Arlene's go all the way back to, Robert Montgomery, born 1659 in Glenarm, Antrim, Ireland, he had a son, Hugh Montgomery, born abt. 1689 in Glenarm, Antrim, Ireland & died April 1767 in Londonderry, New Hampshire, Rockingham County. So Hugh was the member of our family who made the trip across the water to America, the United States. Enough of that, I see those names you mention keep showing up in most of the Montgomery lines I have looked at. Good luck with your search. I would like to add something to those who are new to computers & their source of Genealogy Help. You have Ancestry.Com, Family Tree, The Morman Archives Utah. They all have help for you, but You can't take any of it as being the correct family history help for you, They are only as good as the source that put them there. You can take the information & check it out for yourself. Some of it is correct as they are listed, but being listed there, doesn't automatically make it the correct info. ?Gayle M.
