Phil B. Carter was son of John W. and Esther (Easter is what my family had for her name) Carter. Phil 31 born in Tenn, and his parents John W. Carter 62 born in NC with Esther Carter 50 born in NC. Phil B. Carter was with spouse Susanah (Mathis) with their children Jasper, Sylvester, Elizabeth, Sibilena (Actually spellng we have is Sivilina, she was my GG Grandmother), Mary, all born in Tennessee. Susanah Carter was the daughter of Elisha Mathis and Elizabeth. I have found Elisha with maybe his brother Henry in census for Williamson County, Illinois in later years.
