You should be able to answer this question with the 1900 census. Lillie hampton should be a 4 year old child living with her parents. Try searching the Gibson Co genweb site first, I think part of the 1900 census is there. If you don't find her, Heritage Quest online has an index to the 1900 census, for heads of household. Just check all the Hampton families for Gibson Co. first. If that doesn't work, there is the soundex,which is statewide. You just page through all the Hampton families until you find the right one. The soundex is on microfilm from the National Archives.
