This included the two eldest sons: JOHN S. STUBBLEFIELD & family living next to his brother WILLIAM R. STUBBLEFIELD & family both living next their mother NANCY STUBBLEFIELD & her two youngest sons. On one side of the Stubblefields lived the BELL family (mother & siblings of Bethenia Bell-Stubblefield. STUBBLEFIELD b: 1827 AL., (John Stubblefield to Bethew Bell 17 Jan 1848 Wilson County TN.,married by P.Y. Davis, Minister) in the 1850 Gibson Co., TN census with their children, but just recently, I noticed that there was another household listed next door to them with a BELL family (which I think could be BETHENIA BELL'S mother and siblings because they were born in NC also). Here is what I found: ELDRIDGE P. BELL 25, M, W, NC ELEANOR BELL, 21, F, W, TN (nee:GRISSOM) (Bethenia would fit in here) LYDIA BELL ,55, F, W, NC ANDREW BELL, 18, M, E, TN. STUBBLEFIELD b: 25 Mar 1870 in Hopkins Co., Sulpher Bluff,TX Here is John S. Stubblefield's brother William w/ his family in the same 1860 Gibson Co., TN census: (Gibson County, Tennessee William R Stublefield m:#2 to Mary Belch, licence issued 1 Jun 1858 married 3 Jun 1858; Bondsman was John Stublefield.)
