Below I will post some information that came to me from a "distant KZN" that is a whiz in the research, and very generous. One of the things she advised me to get was a Delux Legacy 5.0 ancestry program to install all my information onto as I went.....well, I cannot tell you how IMPORTANT that is for you to do, right now, in the beginning of your research on your family. I am playing catch-up with putting my stored information onto my new Delux Legacy 5.0 program, but I am loving every minute of it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here is the work sheet for the families I mentioned to you that are related by marriage: Grissom family father: Unknown Grissom (maybe John) mother: Mary Unknown b:NC Children: Stephen Grissom - 1816 - North Carolina [Thomas Grissom could be a sibling b: 1817-18 NC?] Candis Grissom - 1821 - North Carolina Allen Grissom - 1824 - North Carolina Eleanor Grissom - 1828 - Tennessee [WH Grissom could be a sibling b: 1830 TN?] Willis B Grissom - 1833 - Alabama Malvina Grissom - 1836 - Alabama Taking in their migration, they were in Wilson Co. TN in 1847& 1848 & 1850 in Gibson Co TN ************************************************************************ It has never been proven where Nancy Clorence/Clorance Stubblefield was born 1800. some say TN, some say SC but with these families that are married into the three families coming from NC it seems to me that we might find that Nancy came from NC too. I wonder if NC had split off TN by 1800? Bell, b: 3/11/1873 THIS IS THE FIRST CHILD OF THIS MARRIAGE Which indicates that this is the second marriage of "Steven" Thomas Bell. Do you have the 1880 census for this family that shows the first two children that were listed in the 1870 census: Bell, Liousa - b: c. 1866 TX would be 14 yrs in 1880 Bell, Ella M - b: c. 1870 TX would be 10 yrs in 1880.
