I must check the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors Index to see what there is about GGrandpa Boon. May I suggest that you try googling Kinchen Boon and see if you can locate the Boon website which helped me put my Boons together. They go back to Franklin Co., NC before Gibson, TN and from NC to Isle of Wight, VA. There are many generations and branches so maybe John T. will turn up there. Let me know if I can help.
