My GGGrandfather, Jessie White Ward, was born in TN in 1845, his brother William Champion Ward was born in TN in 1843. Their parents were John Copland Ward b. abt 1820 in NC and Drucilla Connel b abt 1825 in TN. John C Ward was the son of Willis C. Ward b. 2/1/1789 in NC (I think Chowan Cnty) and his mothers name was Temperence but I have not other information on her.
