Can someone help Terry? Barry ----- Original Message ----- From: Terry A. Is there any way to know which Civil District that land was in for the 1850 census? Thanks for your help. Terry A. Kilbreth
Hello Barry and Terry, I cannot answer exactly - but, the Gibson - Weakley county line is a branch of the obion river. A current state map shows the channel straightened and on the Gibson County side of the county line as drawn. This county line is between Bradford and Greenfield and covers the north east part of the county line. I could NOT find a record of the district changes, although I think I have seen one previously. I suggest that Jere Cox at the Gordon Browing Genealogy Library in McKenzie might be able to answer your questions. Good luck, Max Crocker I had numerous Crocker anscestors in that area of Gibson County ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barry Crocker" <barrycrocker@direcway.com> To: <TNGIBSON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2005 1:26 PM Subject: [Norton AntiSpam] [Tngibson] Fw: Gibson County > Can someone help Terry? > > Barry > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Terry A.
