    3. I have been looking for some time on information on one of the Cumberland Presbyterian Churches in Gibson County. My g.g. grandfather sold the initial one acre. This would help me locate his land. The following is a transcription of the deed. (With mis-spellings and all) W. K. Dial 'D-WKD-11-1869' to deed John Kenedy, Jas. F. Gordon etal Trustees L. B. Church Registered Nov. 2, 1869 For the consideration of the sum of ten dollars to me paid I have this day bargained and sold to John Kenedy, Jas. T. Gordon & B. C. Scruggs as building community to his and Suprendent the building of a school and church to be called Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the privilege of other denominations to preach in when not accompanied by the above denomination one acre of land in my south west corner of my one hundred acre tract deeded to me by Jas G. Barker to have and to hold to them and their successors for the purpose of a school and church house. I covenant with the said Kenedy, Gordon, and Scruggs, that I am lawfully seized of said land and have a good right to convey the same and that I will forever defend the title of said one acre of land to the said kenedy and others and their successors forever. Witness my hand and seal August 22nd 1868. W. K. Dial (his mark) State of Tennessee Gibson County personally appeared before me James E. Wood, clerk of the county court, W. K. Dial the bargainer to the attached deed with whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged that he executes the same for the purpose therein contained, witness my hand at office this 1st day of Nov. sse 1869 Jase E.
