Catherine: You are right about the small town at the Old Shiloh Burying Grounds. This is where the Presbyterian Church, now at Fruitland, was located from 1836 to 1886. It was moved to a new building near a school in 1886, and was there untill 1911 when they moved the building to it's present site, which is close to the railroad and highway 45. The church was started in 1825 at the McLeary Camp Ground, a few miles west of Old Shiloh. There is a cemetery or burying ground at the McLeary location also. I have not been to it and don't know where it is located. If the graves are marked, this would be some of the first settlers to this area. I plan on finding more about it on my next trip to Humboldt.
