    1. [TNGIBSON] Re COX CHAPEL CHURCH CEMETERY
    2. Noticed posting of Cox Chapel Church Cemetery. Have been unable to find any information in connection with my great grandparents William D. SELPH and Mary LONG SELPH, or their children. William D. SELPH and Mary LONG SELPH were in the 1880 Gibson County TN census, Coxville Community, at age 72 and 68 respectively, which is the last record that have been able to find. Their son Sydney SELPH and wife Martha J. were in 1880 Census living next to William D. SELPH. A microfilm record on a single separate sheet of the Coxville Church indicates Sydney as a member and indicates his date of death as 5 April 1885 and Martha J. Selph date of death as 31 August 1882. Due to transportation constraints in the 1880's it is believed that William D., Mary L., Sydney and Martha J. Selph were all probably buried in the Cox Chapel Cemetery but have been unable to find any record or stones to verify. Any information as to where any records of the Cox Chapel Church membership, deaths, etc. during the 1880's might be found would be appreciated. Also if anyone has any knowledge or suggestion of where we might look for the graves of these ancestors we would appreciate the help. J. A.
