Vicki, I have two photos that are marked with the photographer not the people in the pic unfortunately. One photo says on the back in a very professional scrool with flowers around it, "Jno. P. Rapier, ARTIST in PHOTOGRAPHY Newbern, Tenn. The other simply says T. B. LATHAM, Rutherford, Tennessee below the photograph. These pictures drive me crazy. I know they are all Dicksons and sure hope to figure it out one day. Anyway, I do know of at least two studios. I also have some very early 1830s tintypes with not identification whatever.
