HAMPTON, age 30, stated in an affidavit that she had lived in the home of Jesse Butler and Nancy Parsons Butler for a year and has since lived within sight of their home for 15 years. In the 1900 census I find the following Hampton family (lower left-hand corner, which is smudged terribly): Hampton, Robert? (Kelly?Billy?) head Mar 1876 age 24 M 6yrs Hampton, Mary or May wife Dec? age 22 M 6yrs Hampton, Walter son Aug 1896 age 3 Hampton, Artie? Artis? son Feb 1899 age 1 PARSON?
