Hi, Several of the families that settled in Gibson County came there from Greene and Lenoir Counties in North Carolina. My Waters family was one of these. Unfortunately, these two counties are among the worst flooded. Plus, both counties are burned counties and there are few, if any, early records. So far, the courthouses are safe. But the residents are not. Below are two addresses for the Red Cross in Lenoir and Greene Counties, North Carolina. They are two of the most flooded in the area.
