Today I received a copy of Lizzie's obit from the Chattanooga Times and would like to share it with you. Maybe it can be posted on the obit page. Mrs. Elizabeth Boykin photo Mrs. Elizabeth Jones Boykin, well-known Chattanooga writer, died late Sunday night at her home on Sunset Terrace. She was 86. Mrs. Boykin lived in Chattanooga for 26 years and was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church, the Authors and Artists Club, and the Highland Park WCTU. Among her writings are "The Call of the Mountains," "Uncle Abes Caline," "Messages of Hope" and "Story Readers." Her most recent work is to be published on Sept, 1. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cassie B. Burton and Mrs. Clymetree (sic) B. Riddle, Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in the National Funeral Home by the Rev. Lee Robertson this afternoon at 4 oclock. Burial will be in Trenton, Tenn., tomorrow.
