DEATH---Mrs.Clarence Fitzgerald died on Thursday of last week after a long illness of tuberculosis,at her home near Fruitland.She was about 32 years of age,survived by her husband,one son,one brother and one sister.Funeral and burial at Center Church. NEWS AMONG OUR NEIGHBORS---Harris Arnold of Holly Leaf,near Milan,and Miss Emma Mosley of Gann,were married a few days ago. Thomas J.Cooper,an aged and well-known citizen of the 8th District,died Wednesday of last week and was buried with Masonic Honors. "Uncle"Green Smith,more than one hundred years old,died in the Holly Leaf neighborhood a few days ago,and was buried at the Camp Ground graveyard. Mr.James H.Chappie died at his home near Kenton,a few days ago. "Uncle" Jackie Lowrance,92 years of age,died in the 19th District Monday morning. Jeff T.Lyon,son of Mrs.Rebecca Lyon,died suddenly at the home of his mother near Rutherford on Sunday of last week.Burial in Flower's Chapel graveyard,services were conducted by Rev.J.C.W.Fain. Mr.Bedford Forrest Robertson & Miss Alma Sledge were united in marriage at the home of Mr.& Mrs.B.H.Thomas near Cades on Saturday of last week. Many hearts were saddened in Bells and throughout Crockett County,when news reached here that Brother R.P.Meeks had died in a hospital in St.Louis Sunday.His remains were brought to Humboldt Monday for interment. Graham Overall,17 year old son of J.W.Overall,died quite suddenly at the home of his father in Dyer on Tuesday of last week.He had been suffering with a rising in his head when he died. SOCIETY---Born to Mr.& Mrs.Warren James on Saturday,March 18th,a daughter. LITTLE BABY DIES OF INJURIES---Brunnelle,the 14 months-old daughter of Mr.& Mrs.Robert Bone,who reside just northwest of Humboldt,was scalded Tuesday and died as a result of these injuries Wednesday morning at 4 o'clock.The grandmother of the little one had scalded a chicken preparatory to dressing it,and left a dishpan of hot water on the floor of the porch,and had stepped into the yard,when the baby,unoberserved,fell over the pan of water and on to the ground below.The hot water was spilled on the child and it was also hurt bt the fall.Death came to the relief of the little sufferer Wednesday morning as stated and the remains laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery.
