Jan.31,1913--continued--Milan.TN.,Jan.30--Hiram Benson,a wellknown young farmer 34 years of age,died here yesterday of pneumonia.He is survived by his aged parents,of which he was the support.Interment today at Mt.Zion Cem. Milan,TN.,Jan.27-News was received of the death of Erb Ward last night at his farther's home at Bradford of cerebro-spinal meningitis.He had recently returned from the lower counties of the infected district near the Miss.River.He was about 27 years old. Trezevant,TN.,Jan.27--The remains of Martin Newbill,aged 23,were brought to this place from Bolivar and interred by the side of his sister,Miss Brooksie Newbill,who died only a short time ago in the Trezevant Cem.He died of the effects of pellagra as did his sister.He was the son of Dr. & Mrs.Tom Newbill of the Newbill Schoolhouse Community. Milan,TN.,Jan.30--Robert McLemore,aged about 68 years,died yesterday of pneumonia at the home of S.H.Hughes near here .He was a Confederate soldier.He is survived by two sisters,Mrs.Thomas Manning of Lavinia & Mrs.Fry of Cedar Grove,TN. Milan,TN.,Jan.27.--News reached here today of the death of William Altman,aged 81 years,at Nashville,TN.,of heart failure.He was formerly from here,an old Confederate soldier.He is survived by a daughter,Mrs.Geo.R.Cook,of this vicinity;three sons,Dr.Jno.T.Altman of Nashville,James Altman of Ar. and Nat Altman of this section;one brother,Wiley Altman of Cades.Burial in Oak Grove Cem.near here. Milan,TN.,Jan.29--John T.Tucker,aged 84,died at his home this morning of pneumonia.He is survived by one son,Dr.Carl Tucker of Memphis.He was a Cofederate soldier.Interment in Oakwood Cem. Trezevant,TN.,Jan.27--Esq.Henry Ross of the Pilgrim's Rest Community in the edge of Weakly County is dead of Meningitis.Burial in the Pilgrim's Rest Burying ground. New Hope News----The baby girl of Mr.& Mrs.Will Marcom died Sat.of pneumonia,burial at Cypress Church Sunday. In Memory Of----Mrs.James T.Perry--On the night of Jan.5th,1913,God in His Wisdom,called her home.She was 68 years of age.She was married 47 years ago to her husband,who now in his 80th year survives her. Pearce of this city and Miss Lucille Collins,daughter of E.T.Collins of Fordyce,AR.,were married last night. In Memory----Mrs.Sarah Ann Loyed departed this life Dec.2nd,1912,at the mature age of 83 years,7 months and 3 days.She was born in NC.,Apr.9,1829,and married at an early age to J.A.Loyed,to which were born 8 children,three survive,30 grandchildren and 47 greatgrandchildren.
