My Gibson County connection is my GG Grandfather Dr. Rufus Wilie PEACOCK m Mary Jane WOODSON (b25 Mar 1832) m on 4 Aug. 1852 in Gibson County. Mary Jane daughter of James P. WOODSON and Nancy GOODWIN. Rufus was in the 1850 Henry County Census. They had a son, James W. Peacock, b. either 1853 or 1864 and buried in the New Hope Cemetery (Milan Arsenal). I tend to believe the earlier date, since by 1860 Mary Jane apparently had died and Rufus remarried Martha Davie in Haywood County. Looking for death dates of Mary Jane and her son James W. Peacock. Also, did James Peacock grow up, marry and have children?
