    3. The Courier-Chronicle Humboldt,TN December 10,1915 Local News--Mr.& Mrs.R.H.Patterson are the proud parents of a son,born Tuesday morning. Dead--Gen.W.O.Gordon,one of Gibson County's oldest and best known citizens,died at his home on High Street in Trenton,at 12 o'clock Wednesday night fron a severe attack of heart trouble which he suffered several months ago.The funeral will be held from the residence tomorrow and interment will be made in Oakland Cemetery. Crockett County News From Alamo--Dr.Downey is entertaining a little lady at his home on College Street.One of his little boys is ill with scarlet fever,but seems to be doing nicely. Mrs.Jerman is visiting her daughter and twin babies,Mrs.Lelia Jerman Osier,at Henderson. Card Of Thanks--We take this means of thanking our many friends for their assistance during the illness and death of our beloved mother and grandmother,Mrs.M.J.Kidwell---Mrs.J.B.McKnight and Family. Interesting News From Gibson--Mrs.Adranna Pruett,72 years of age,widow of William Pruett,died Sunday in her home near Humboldt.Deceased leaves a number of sons and daughters,one of whom is Mrs.Calvin Warmath of this city.(another obit gives her age as 65 with 4 sons and 4 daughters.) Mrs.Annie DeBerry,aged 67 years,died Monday.She was the widow of the late Capt.Drew DeBerry.Five sons and two daughters survive.The body was laid to rest in White Rose Cemetery. Eva D.,the two year daughter of Mr.& Mrs.Oscar Thompson,died Monday.The little body was laid to rest in Hope Hill Cemetery. Mrs.Pollyna---? Cannon,aged about 75 years,died Wednesday at the home of Mr.John T.Hale at Trenton.She leaves one son,Thomas Hawkins of Texas,who was with her at the time of her death. She was a Hatchett before her marriage.She was married first to Mr.Hawkins,who was killed in the war of the 60's.Her second marriage was to Mr.Carrol Hunt.Her third marriage was to Mr.Jack Spencer;the fourth and last marriage to Mr.James Cannon.She was an aunt of Mr.W.E.Hatchett and a great aunt of H.P.Hale of Gibson. Mr.& Mrs.John G.Chandler of Beinville,LA.,have issued invitations to the marriage of their daughter,Olga to Luther Casey,to take place on December 16th.He is the son of the late Ed Casey and the stepson of Mrs.Fannie Casey of this city.
