Humboldt.Tennessee Friday May 5,1916 continued THE DEAD---Mrs.Sallie Thompson,widow of Neal Thompson and mother of;W.A.,S.N.,and J.H.Thompson,died Sunday from the infirmities of age.Her death occurred at the home of her son,Will A.Thompson.She was 68 years of age.She also leaves three brothers;Messrs.Harve,Frank,and Alex Mullins.Burial in Antioch graveyard following services by Rev.Adams,pastor of the Gibson Baptist Church. INTERESTING NEWS FROM GIBSON---Mrs.Addie White McFarland,58 years of age,died last Friday after a lingering illness.She is survived by her husband,Joe McFarland,and two brothers,John & Zeke White.Funeral services were conducted by Rev,Carmen,pastor of the Methodist Church,burial at Shiloh Cemetery. Mr.Don Baker,aged 35 years,died Monday at the home of his father,Mr.John Baker,near Baker's Chapel.(rest in previous obit) Mr.Herbert Midyett,of Ripley,was the guest of Miss Mary Davis Sunday.Mr.Midyett drove over in his new car. BRAZIL BRIEFS---A wedding of much interest occurred Friday when Aubrey Bradshaw & Miss Ruth Strong eloped to Alamo and were married.The groom is engaged in the livery business at this place and the bride is the pretty daughter of Mrs.Tom Strong,being only 14 years of age and the groom twice the age. SOCIETY---Mr.Joe Jim Atkinson & Miss Lela Tidwell were married at the home of Mrs.Stroud Wednesday night.She is the daughter of Mr.John Tidwell,the groom is the younger son of Capt.Atkinson.
