    3. Humboldt,Tennessee Friday April 28th,1916 LOCAL NEWS---Mr.& Mrs.Ed Osteen of Rutherford,were here Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs.Hatley. J.D.Keith,of Dublin,Texas,attended the burial of Mrs.James Hatley Sunday. Mr.& Mrs.Harry Houston Elder have announced the engagement of their daughter,Miss Florence Elder to Mr.Charles B.Bagley,Jr.,of Atalla,Ala.,the wedding to take place May 19th. The remains of Mr.Sim Caldwell of Memphis,were brought here Wednesday and interred in Oakland Cemetery. Mrs.James Hatley died Saturday afternoon after a lingering illness,and was buried at Union Cemetery,five miles east of Trenton,Sunday. INTERESTING NEWS FROM GIBSON---Mrs.Fannie Casey was called to Milan this week,where her mother,Mrs.Stewart died. Mr.& Mrs.John Thomas Warmath have announced the marriage on Wednesday evening,May 10th,of their daughter,Hallie,to Mr.Rice Pierce Adams. RURAL ROUTE NO.10---Mr.& Mrs.Eddie Eaves are the happy parents of a little girl left them by the Stork a few days since. Mrs.Cullen Call was buried at Center last Thursday.She had been suffering from blood poisoning for some time.A husband and three little children are left with many friends to mourn her departure. THE DEAD---CALDWELL--The remains of Mr.Sim Caldwell,who died in Memphis,were brought to the home of his sister,Mrs.H.B.Gillespie,Tuesday afternoon,and kept until Wednesday morning,when they were carried to Trenton and interred in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery.Mr.Caldwell was about 55 years of age and is survived by his wife,one son,one daughter;one brother,S.P.Caldwell of Trenton;two sisters,Mrs.Gillespie of this city and Mrs.Ewing of Paris. STEWART--Mrs.Maggie Stewart,aged 79 years,died Monday evening at the home of Ed Lusk in Milan.She is survived by one daughter;Mrs.Fannie Casey of Gibson;two sons,T.H. & W.T.Stewart,both of Milan;and a number of grandchildren.Interment in Oakwood Cemetery. WOOD--Mrs.Amanda Wood,aged 64 years,died Thursday night of infirmities incidental to old age,at the home of B.J.Mayo of Milan.She is survived by one sister;Mrs.McCollum of Huntingdon,TN.,and several neices & nephews,among whom are Mrs.Tennie Mayo and Esq.F.L.Mayo of Milan.Interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery. COURTNEY--Anthony Courtney,about 45 years of age,died Sunday morning at his home,seven miles east of Milan of heart failure.He was a dwarf from childhood and never married.He leaves one sister;Mrs.Smith Barger of Hopewell;three brothers,George of Jackson,Jihn & Hugh both of Whitthorne.Burial at Shiloh Camp Ground Cemetery.
