Hi Jerry, I noticed your posting on James Knox Polk Snoddy. My 4th great was Samuel Snoddy who was born in NC 1768 and married Mary Purviance Feb 12 1796 in Bourbon Co. KY. He was the son of Samuel Snoddy SR. born abt 1720 and Elizabeth Sloan. Members of my branch of the Snoddy family were early settlers to NE Arkansas. My 3rd great grandmother, Sarah Snoddy, married James Stotts in 1832. They borh were natives of TN. I have a little information on the Snoddy line.
