Hi Folks, I have just put up a new letter by Capt. Peter Marchant written from Camp Trenton in Feb of 1862. It tells of a proposed expedition to cut the rail from toward Fort Donelson to impede the yankees movement. I had never heard this before. Later tonite I will add a letter concerning the action at Missionary Ridge. Info on the 47th Tenn Inf. at this battle is almost nonexistant.
