Several years ago the Kentucky Explorer Magazine did an articile on Death in the Mountains ... If a loved one died in the winter time ... the funeral would be in the Spring Time when the weather was nice ... most of the cemeteries in the mountainest areas would be on the mountainsides.. and not in the valleys because of flooding in the springtime...
