Governor ROBERTS has pardoned B.M. TAYLOR and Dock HUTCHINSON,colored,who were convicted of the murder of Fritzie WEBB, colored. ---WEEKS DOINGS OF MEDINA PEOPLE---Mrs.Elizabeth HALE,of Humboldt,is attending the bedside of her sister,Mrs.Mary WITT,who has been ill for several weeks. ---THE DEAD---Mrs.Lillie ROE,wife of J.W. ROE, died at the family home om Mitchell Street Tuesday afternoon,May 25th,after being in a low state of health for many months.In fact,she had been in Memphis and Nashville hospitals for a good deal of the time for the past two years.She was surrounded by her family when the end came.Services were conducted at the family residence;interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.She is survived by her husband,three sons and three daughters. Mrs.Lillie PHELPS, wife of Henry PHELPS, died Friday evening at the family home in Earle,Ark.,after an illness of some time.She is survived by her husband;two sons; one daughter; two brothers, W.R. BROWN,of Humboldt,and Lee M.BROWN,of Alton,Ill; four sisters, Mesdames DICKSON,of Union City, Blanch ROGERS,and Miss Ollie BROWN, of Earle,Ark.,and Mrs.J.D.BOND of this city.She was a daughter of the late W.W. BROWN, and was reared in Humboldt. ---CROCKETT COUNTY NEWS FROM ALAMO---Mrs.Wes ROBERTS and daughter,of Maury City,took the train for Humboldt to attend the obsequies of H.J.DUFFEY,her brother-in-law. ---ITEMS OF INTEREST FROM GADSDEN---The home of Cashier & Mrs.Allie B.HUMPHREYS was gladdened last Thursday by the arrival of a 12 pound baby girl.This gives Allie B.something more to occupy his mind than the misfortune of having his bank broken into. ---SOCIETY---Mrs.Prudie D.STELLA,of Waco,Texas,was called to Humboldt on account of the illness and death of her mother, Mrs.J.W.ROE. On Tuesday afternoon,May 25th at 4 oclock,Miss Stella MASON,of Humboldt,was married to Mr.R.M.McCONNON,of Jackson,Tenn.She is the daughter of Mr.& Mrs.J.F.MASON. The wedding of Miss Mary SULLIVAN,of Memphis,to Mr.Dorsie WRAY,of this city,was solemnized Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Methodist parsonage. A quiet wedding took place in Trenton Tuesday at the home of Rev.POWELL,when Miss Nell WARMATH,of Bells,and Lyle LANE,of Humboldt,were united in marriage. Miss Goldie McCOID,of Trenton,tenn.,and Fred BARNER were married Saturday evening. Mrs.J.C.BURKS was called to Lexington Tuesday on account of the death of her neice,Mrs.Ida KENT. BORN to Mr.& Mrs.Claude M.WILLIAMS,on Saturday,May 22nd,a daughter. BORN to Mr.& Mrs.Warner COLLINSWORTH,on Saturday,a daughter.
