Surnames: Killingsworth Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ReB.2ACE/2761 Message Board Post: I am trying to locate information regarding the death of William Bradford Gilchrist Killingsworth. He is listed in the 1840 Gibson County census but his wife is listed alone along with their children in the 1850 Madison County census. This indicates he died sometime between these two censuses. Any help or advice as to where to look for information would be greatly appreciated.
I know the buildings that were originally part of the Fitzgerald-Clarke Academy, but not which one was Happel Hall. However, that really doesn't help now, since they are no longer both standing. They were on Lombardy St. close to where it intersects Lexington St. One was torn down in the early 1950s and the bricks used in a new house. Another was used as a private home, but since the occupants died I think it is now gone - or soon will be. No, they are no longer in print, but I think there may be some on sale through Gordon Browning Museum and Library. I do have access to the "delayed" birth certificates. These are people who needed a birth certificate (usually to apply for social security) and who didn't have one. Most of them seem to be for people born in the 1880 - 1900 time period. I wouldn't mind checking there for Louis Williamson. They are very interesting documents, usually with statements from family or friends who witnessed the birth. Please email me your request at kkcem@blomand.net Thanks, Kristi

They were captured and released and on his way to a new base, William was killed in March of 1864 in Hardin Co., TN. George was captured again and spent 13 months in Andersonville Prison in GA. William's widow, Nancy, and his son, George and families were living in Hardin Co., TN on the 1870 census. I am trying to find out if my Williamson's are related to the Williamson's in Milan who immigrated from Rutherford Co., TN. George and his wife, Talisa Hopper Williamson, and family were in Milan around 1880 when their son William C. Williamson was born. Also on the 1880 census, Talisa Hopper Williamson's brother Merida Hopper and famly were living in Milan, alon! g with their mother and step father, Avis Ann and Thomas R. Benton.
