    2. Max Crocker
    3. Hello Barry and Terry, I cannot answer exactly - but, the Gibson - Weakley county line is a branch of the obion river. A current state map shows the channel straightened and on the Gibson County side of the county line as drawn. This county line is between Bradford and Greenfield and covers the north east part of the county line. I could NOT find a record of the district changes, although I think I have seen one previously. I suggest that Jere Cox at the Gordon Browing Genealogy Library in McKenzie might be able to answer your questions. Good luck, Max Crocker I had numerous Crocker anscestors in that area of Gibson County ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barry Crocker" <barrycrocker@direcway.com> To: <TNGIBSON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2005 1:26 PM Subject: [Norton AntiSpam] [Tngibson] Fw: Gibson County > Can someone help Terry? > > Barry > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Terry A. 1. Re: [Tngibson] Ward's, Baker;'s and Luckey's
    2. Do any of you know anything about James Barlow Ward a Cumberland Presbyterian Minister that moved form this vacinity to Independence Co, Ark about 1858? The information I have says he moved his family to Arkansas in the caravan of Captain Leslie and settled in what was then Wiley's Cove in Independence Co., Ark. He was married to Nancy Newton Carter of the McLemoresville area of Carroll Co. TN. They took 6 children with them, Howell, Susan, Mary Robert John T., and James David Ward. Information I have says that the children were born near Milan. I know that Susan Ann Baker who married Joseph Luckey also moved from the Madison/Gibson Co line area to Independence co Ark in about the same time frame per place of birth of their children on the 1860 Independence Co Ark census. After Joseph d she brought her children back to Madison Co and is buried in Antioch right across from the church. Does anyone know about these Ward's, or the migration of this group from TN to Ark? Thanks! Teri

Surnames: WARD Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ReB.2ACE/2777 Message Board Post: My great-grandfather was Jefferson Lafayette "Fate" Ward from Gibson Cnty TN. His parents were Jessie W. Ward and Susan M. Ward (maiden name WARD). I am trying to find information on the family of Jessie and Susan. Jessie death certificate shows he died 4/26/1924 at the age of 80 so he was born in 1844 or 45. Susan M. Ward was born 12/4/1837 and died 4/16/1925. Both died and are buried in Gibson Cnty TN, Antioch Cemetery. Susan's father was Thomas Ward from NC. I am searching for information about any other children they had, and information on their parents. I have visited Antioch Cemetery and found a Thomas Ward and Rosey Ann Ward buried next to Susan, so I think these may have been her parents. I also have pictures of other Ward family members headstones at Antioch and Oak Grove Baptist cemeteries in Gibson County if anyone would like them. thanks, Byron

I have not been able to find any marriage record, birth record, or death record (place of burial) for Sarah?
