    1. MOORE-MAYES from GRAINGER Co.TN
    2. CUMBERLAND GAP
    3. Listers, i'm a MOORE-MAYES decendent. my brickwall is great gramp's JACK MOORE. all we have is he was from TX. but we doubt that. there was bad blood as a result of his leaving the family of 6 kids. the kids grew up saying their mom was NANCY MAYES. 1 son HOUSTON MOORE of KNOXVILLE says NANCY was b. in RAY Co.MO. the only 1 i've found is the 1 in my home county of CLAIBORNE Co.TN. we pretty much except her. now why post in GIBSON?. ok in my MAYES info is the marriage of RICHARD MOORE to ELIZABETH MAYES in GRAINGER Co. my MAYES main TN County is GRAINGER. I sort of think 1 of RICHARD's sons may be my missing great gramp's. this family had kids move to GIBSON Co. so anyone with MOORE-MAYES ties & other surnames to the above areas e me. also my cuz in KNOXVILLE has had a 25 marker DNA done. please see my surnames list below. i have a website. thanks Ray Moore. thanks Ray Moore. my home Counties are: CLAIBORNE, GRAINGER, HAWKINS, & KNOX in TN. visit my pages: http://tippytnn.topcities.com/moore508/moore.htm a cousin has had DNA done: STEVE MOORE: 25 marker. at family tree. links on my pages. researching O'MOORE-OMOORE-O'MOHR. 1 of these O'MOOREs may be our real last name.
