I looked at the original census record and it looks like the John and Robert in Yorkville (step-sons of Hugh A. Reed) last name was changed to COX from Cock. His wife or at least his first wife's name was Julia and he had the following children: Hugh Lou Vely John George Dollie Donnie Earlie/Earline They lived in Benton, Carroll and Gibson counties. He may have been the John Cox found in the 1880 Yorkville, Gibson Co Census with brother Wiley Robert--The 2 boys last name was listed as Cock. The Mother, Martha was remarried to Hugh A Read.
