Hello All, Thanks to many helpful people on several of the TN County lists, and to a few well calculated genealogical purchases, I managed to break through the brick wall that has been my PARRISH line. Since this family lived in Gibson County at one time, I thought I'd post my findings. Perhaps it will help someone else. Thanks, Shelley My GGG Grandmother Lucinda M. PARRISH, b. 1853, m. Soloman Murry SAUNDERS/SANDERS in Dyer County. (I still have not identified Soloman Murry's parents.) They later moved to Gibson County where their dau. Mattie Elizabeth SANDERS was born in 1880. Mattie married Daniel Hiram CLARK, b. 1878 in Obion County. They were married in Wickliffe, KY, Ballard, Co. Some of their children moved back to Gibson County as adults (Early 1900's). Some moved to Dyer County. I've seen this name before, but can't find it anywhere now. Last name looks like: AYOLLOTT Ayallett, but I know those aren't right. Family has father Ned b. abt 1871; wife Ollie b. abt 1880; daughter L?; daughter Lilly; son Arthur M; daughter Liler M, Daughter Lettie L. Karla

My husband's great great grandparents were Moses SENTER and Margaret Jane ELAM. Their daughter, Martha Jane SENTER, married David Hinds WOOLDRIDGE Jan 26, 1860. Their son, Moses Edward WOOLDRIDGE was Fred's grandfather. We have his notes telling about life on a plantation in Gibson Co. His grandmother, Margaret SENTER, lived her last months in their home. We have a lot of information on Wooldridge family and would like very much to contact any one who is doing research on the SENTER, ELAM or WOOLDRIDGE families. We will gladly share what we have collected and wish to learn more about the Senter and Elam families. Is the old Senter home still occupied? Are there any plans to do another family history book? I saw your wonderful 1989 Gibson Co. book at the Martin UT library Saturday. Unfortunately, we could not make copies since the Special Collections was closed and no one was on duty who could make copies for me. We live in Jonesboro, AR so it will be a while before we are back in the area. Do you have a Gibson county historical society? Are there any of the County History Books still avaible for sale?
