    3. Jane, Some years ago I obtained an Atlas type book called "Tennessee County Maps" from COUNTY MAPS, Puetz Place, Lyndon Station, WI 53944. It contains every county in the state of Tennessee on individual pages with the county seats marked and listing county roads. We have used it often in exploring various counties in Tennessee and found it helpful. We saw them advertised recently, I believe for about $14.00, but I don't remember exactly where. You could check at the address I gave you above, since that is printed inside the book I have. They also have this type of book available for the states of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Arkansas. We have had some success finding county maps at the local Chamber of Commerce in various places we have visited, although I have not tried that in Gibson Co. As for a state map of Tennessee, one can be obtained for free from any Wecome Station located on interstates coming into Tennessee, or from the Department of Tourism for Tennessee. The 1999 Tennessee map that I have says that a Tennessee Vacation Guide can be obtained by calling 888-GO-2TENN. These usually contain a Tennessee map but you can ask when you call to be sure. Hope this helps. 2. well here I go again... My Ragsdales lived in the 1ST district of Gibson Co. in the 1850's. What cemetaries are in that area and are they being transcribed? I understand that in the Shady Gove area that there was a Mt Zion church and cemetary, has that been recored? My problem is that these elusive Ragsdale's lived in Gibson county from the 1830's through the early part of the 1930's. A hundred years of deaths and only one grave has been found in the Oakwood cemetary, that of William Peter and his wife and child. Were they so poor that they were laid to rest in the back yard and no stone was ever put up!!?? Any help would be appreciated!! We are planning a trip this spring {before the snakes come out!} are all the known cemetaries listed on the 911 map? We thought we would hit those in those districts the Ragsdales lived in. I will try to transcribe what I can. Thank you Kelley Ragsdale
