From: Mary C. Crossnoe <crossnoe@apex.net> Yes, there really is a FOLLIS CEMETERY. It is located next to the church, I think it is FOLLIS CHAPEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. It is listed in the community of Frog Jump, Tenn., about 5 or 6 miles south of Trenton, Tenn. on Highway 54 on the west side of the road. -----Original Message----- >>From: Richard Tucker <ricktuck@freewwweb.com> >>To: TNGIBSON-L@rootsweb.com <TNGIBSON-L@rootsweb.com> >>Date: Monday, March 27, 2000 8:46 AM >>Subject: [TNGIBSON] Follis Chapel >> >> >>>Can someone on the list tell me where Follis Chapel is located, is this >>site the original location, and if this is not the original location is >>there a cemetery at the original location? >>> >>>Thanks, >>> >>>Rick
If you one has done anything since 1982 I don't see how anyone could fault you for doing what needed to be done. When my Mother passed away we placed stones on 3 babies graves in the family that had never had stones and everyone was pleased that some one had finally done it. bevann/TN

Hello folks, I have the recent books published about the town of Rutherford; however, I understand that there was a book written in the early 1920s by Maxie O'Daniel about the History of Rutherford. I would love to see a copy of this book. Does anyone have this book or know of its whereabouts? Thanks everyone & take care, Eddy G. Clark
Hi Folks, I have just put up a new letter by Capt. Peter Marchant written from Camp Trenton in Feb of 1862. It tells of a proposed expedition to cut the rail from toward Fort Donelson to impede the yankees movement. I had never heard this before. Later tonite I will add a letter concerning the action at Missionary Ridge. Info on the 47th Tenn Inf. at this battle is almost nonexistant. Hello All Happy Monday to you! This past weekend, I made a trip to Illinois (I live in Mpls, MN) to do some family research in cemeteries. My main reason for going was to place flowers at my grandmother's grave site because her (86th) birthday was March 24. While there, I made a decision to put a down-payment on a granite headstone for her. Since her death in 1982, no one has taken the initiative to purchase one. So, I did. The reason I'm writing is that my mother, my grandmother's only child, does not know that I did this and I would like to know from "listers" what you think and what would you do?? Should I have consulted with mom beforehand?? I know this is sora-kinda-non-list-related, but I just need support about my decsion.
