    1. [Tngibson] Fulgham/Fulghum Family
    2. Dan Fulghum
    3. Hello Everyone, For those that are interested in DNA testing, the first leg of the Fulgham/Fulghum FamilyTreeDNA Project has proven a success. Leslie Leo Fulgham and I had an exact match. Our most recent common ancestor is Captain Anthony Fulgham of the Isle of Wight County, pre-1640. This is eleven generations back. I descended through Captain Anthony Fulgham's son Michael and Leslie descended through Captain Fulgham's son John. This is important for several reasons, one is that it ties the Fulghum and Fulgham lines together and the other is that it links the two known branches of the Fulghum/Fulghams in Texas together. The families followed two seperate migration patterns to the state. After leaving the Isle of Wight County, Virginia, my family migration pattern was to Dobbs County, North Carolina; Williamson County, Tennessee; Hardeman County, Tennessee; and finally to Nacogdoches County, Texas in 1839. Leslie's branch left the Isle of Wight County, Virginia, progressing to South! Carolina; Georgia; Mississippi; and finally to Tyler, Texas, in 1839 or 1840. These two branches of the family had members that fought together in General Hiram Granbury's Texas Brigade during the Civil War. Hopefully, in the future, we will get more volunteers for this project. It would be nice to get others to join the project to definetly prove our links through each of the Children of Captain Anthony Fulgham. Eventually we might convince a Foljambe to also joint this project so we can tie in the oldest link in our family to the Nottinghamshire area of the UK. Anyone interested in Fulgham/Fulghum/Foljambe family research are encouraged to browse the following links. 1. [Tngibson] James E. Wood and Will Books
    2. Hello, I am new to the list. My ancestor George Wood first shows up in Tipton Co., TN on the census of 1880, age 22. The problem is that he is a clerk in a store and I can't find who his parents are. The only two families that I can find on the census records of 1860 and 1870 in TN who have a son the right age, named George are, James E. Wood of Gibson Co. and Albert Wood of Shelby Co.. In both those families, their George is not in the household in 1880. Does anyone have any knowledge of James E. Wood and Mary Moody's son, George? Do you know if he could be my George in Tipton Co., TN in 1880. My George married Bettie Harris in 1882, the daughter of Hudson Harris. Also, wondering if there are any Will books of Gibson Co., TN transcribed wills to see if James E. Wood left a will. He was still alive in 1880. Also, if anyone knows the Albert Wood family of Shelby Co., TN and what happened to his George, that would be wonderful, too. Any help will be appreciated. I have been trying to find George's parents for many years. Patrick Wood
