In 1832 his mother/siblings were traveling through Overton Co., TN when it was discovered James had measles. She "left" him with a Miller family and never returned for him. When he was 11/12 he was "sold" to George M. Thompson of that county for 1.00. He married Mahala Ann Bowman. Mahala's brother was named Richardson Bowman and was the person who murdered my ggrandfather after he returned from the civil war. He never knew his parents/siblings and I am trying to find some connection to his siblings' families. You might be interested to read his letters to Mahala during the war. Good Morning All! Since I have had great success in my last couple of posts, here is another Crocker mystery I am trying to solve: Bell N. (Belle) Crocker (1879 - 1913) married my great-grandfather Robert Anthony Crocker, December 1902 in Gibson Co. I have reliable information that Bell was a Crocker before marrying Robert. The question is, who were her parents? I have a Bell Crocker (Abt. 1885) listed as the daughter of George W. and Nancy M. Cunningham Crocker, living in Gibson Co. in 1880. Could my great-grandmother Bell N. and this Bell be the same? Thanks for any help!!! Family Group Record for George W. Joyce, Send me an email so I'll have your address and if you have anything in your email files regarding past Watts / Replogle, etc. family history will you forward it to me, at your convenience. I have lost everything I had in my email folders as my computer crashed without warning due to a "Motherboard" defect three weeks ago and I lost everything...not my Personal Ancestral File data base but all the correspondence for the last two years. Also, could you forward to me Jane Mayo's email address and Carol Broadways. Thanks and love, Trish Parrish Lewis ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, November 07, 2003 8:06 PM Subject: [Tngibson] Re: Senter of NC>TN > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Holt > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ReB.2ACE/451.1025.1027.1044.1047.10 51.1054.1.1 > > Message Board Post: > > > I have a few McNeils in my family line, however I am more interested in the Holt line My gggrandmother was Lucy Ann Holt(Born 1825) who married Stephen J.
