I have new information about John Hamilton HURT. His wife was Henrietta PUGH. Their son was Pugh "Hervey" HURT, and John raised my orphaned grandmother Olive (Ollie) French EURY. We now think that John was an insurance person with Metropolitan or NY Life. Why they were in Trenton (Gibson County) is another puzzle. 1909. This family migrated from SC to NC and mostly remained in NC. In fact, both John & Henrietta are buried in Cherryville, NC (Gaston County).

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ReB.2ACE/2403.1 Message Board Post: Just a suggestion that may or may not be any help. There were a lot of families that migrated from Rutherford and Bedford Counties in TN to Gibson Co., including my own Philips/Phillips who also settled in Walnut Grove before moving on to Texas in 1880's. You might try looking in Census Index in Rutherford and Bedford Cos. for 1850 thru 1870 census to see if they were there.

Both James and Emily list their parents as being from Tenn. Later in years they had other children: William Franklin Hart, James A. Hart, Richard Arthur Hart, Lorenzo Hart, Fred Lee Hart, Ida Beatrice Hart and Woodard (Woody)McKinny Hart. By looking at the childrens birth places it looks like they came to Texas between 1880-1883 because James A. Hart was born 1883 in Briggs, Burnet Co, Texas Any help would be greatly appreciated

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ReB.2ACE/2375.2 Message Board Post: Sorry this has taken me so long, talked to my mom several times but forgot to ask her. I just got off tonight and I finally remembered to talk to her about Dr. Robinson. She said that they are both still living and are in a nursing home in Memphis. She did not know anything about where the kids are, but I do know there is another daughter, Patricia. They always called her Pitty-Pat. Mom thought she had several children, too. Mom said that Ms. Ninn Robinson was her first Sunday School teacher at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dyer. Dr. Robinson, as I may have told you before, was our family dentist. That is about all I can tell you. Hope this helps. Elaine
