    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ReB.2ACE/951.952.1 Message Board Post: I'm no longer interested in Watson, as there evidently was no real connection to Reuben Biggs' wife Sally, who was mistakenly reported to have been born a Watson. I believe she was a daughter of James Williams of Pactolus or Tranters Creek in Beaufort Co NC and had a sister named Nancy Jolley. Thomas Williams' Beaufort Co will of 1796 mentions Reuben and Sally Biggs. She appears to be one of his grandchildren. Some Williamses of Beaufort Co were connected to Latham's, but I don't know if this was the same Williams family Thomas was a member of. If you need abstracts of Latham and Williams wills from Beaufort Co, please let me know. Stiller is not one of my lines.

    1. Re: [Tngibson] Re: Wheeler Family
    2. I strongly suspect that Amanda Cannon's father was James L. Cannon, who was my gg grandfather. I never have been able to prove it, but I consider it highly likely. In 1840 James Cannon married a Mary Taylor. I belive that they had two daughters, Josephine Clementine Cannon and Amanda Cannon. Apparently their mother died, because by the 1850 census they are living with other families. Mary Taylor must have died around 1845, because by 1846 James Cannon marries his second wife, my gg grandmother, Mary Pate. A couple of years ago someone who had a big interest in Meredith Wheeler e-mailed me and I will have to search my records to see if I saved that message. My interest is in the Cannons. Your husband's ggg grandfather is likely to be my gg grandfather, James L. Cannon. You can find him in the 1850 census for Gibson County, TN. He is listed as 35 years old. Hope this gives you further food for thought.
