UUNET, our backbone provider, is working on the problem. Problems like this usually get resolved within a few hours at worst. In the meantime, we're closing down pieces of RootsWeb to try to limp through. So far, we have taken down the following virtual domains and Web/FTP sites: IIGS.ORG USGENWEB.NET/ORG USGENWEB ARCHIVES (anonymous FTP access only disabled) WORLDGENWEB.ORG Other than the USGenWeb Archives, we have not taken down any individual sites. Consequently, our regular users should still be able to find the resources they routinely use. We'll restore normal operations as soon as we can. You can bet everyone is doing everything possible. -B -- Dr. Brian Leverich Co-moderator, soc.genealogy.methods/GENMTD-L RootsWeb Genealogical Data Cooperative http://www.rootsweb.com/ P.O.
