Hi Folks, A while back we were talking about non-profit incorporation of our project. Bridgett, Fred Smoot and I have looked at the pros and cons of incorporating as a non-profit and it appears that from our viewpoints that it would be a good thing for the project. A couple of points: *If you decide to pursue the incorporation, there will be no cost to you for the filing fees. *This question is simply in regard to improving the project internally and would not affect our relationship with USGenWeb. Before we go further we need the opinion of all of you, the County Coordinators, who are the backbone of the project. So I am asking for a straw poll. We are not asking about preferences for a name or any other details at this time. It would be inappropriate to address those issues without knowing the opinions of y'all. The decision will be made by simple majority "of those responding," so please let us hear your voice. Reply - All to this list simply with yes or no if you would like to pursue non-profit incorporation. The voting period will be one week only.
