TNGenWeb's Bulletin Board which is located at http://www.tngenweb.org/bbs/ The purpose of this bbs is for folks to have an area to post questions that don't seem to apply to any of our other pages. For example: What was the age of a male to be included on the poll tax list? What were the requirements for a Justice of the Peace? How old did one have to be to marry or witness documents? Where was Hicksville in 1803? Why can't I find a census record for 1810? This is for the public to use, of course you can ask your questions also <G>. I will probably be posting the announcement to TNRoots and to Roots-L probably tomorrow, but wanted y'all to see it first. On the intro page, I have stated that the site will be monitored by some of our county hosts. You may do so if you wish, however, this choice is up to you. However, be rest assured if I find a question on the site that has gone unanswered, I will be asking it here <G>. Not having lived in TN for 49 years, and only been researching for a little more than 4 or 5 -- I admit I don't know all the answers to the questions that have been sent my way. I am hoping folks will utilize this page, both to ask their questions and to answer them. Please check out when you have time, and let me know what you think about it.
