Hi all, I think it is very important to have a separate list for discussing (arguing) the merits/methods of organizing TNGenWeb. Over at NCGenWeb, they are trying to elect a new state coordinator right now and it has turned into a nightmare (so I hear). There are many people here on TNGEN-L who do *not* want this list to become political. We should respect their wishes. Some cc's in NC have quit over the turmoil there. I suspect if we restart the politics here some of our beloved cc's will resign. We ought to take our "chat" over to TNCHAT-L and leave this list in peace. That's what Bridgett created that list for. Anyone who wants to engage in the fun is welcome to ask Bridgett to be put on the chat list. I think it is unfortunate that we even have to have this discussion here. Can't we agree on anything? :-)) My 2 cents, George of Lincoln On 11 Jul 98 at 9:08, TNGEN-L@rootsweb.com wrote: > You know the old saying: > > You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't > please all of the people all of the time (or something close to > that). > > The new list was created because many people requested it, and after > the announcement of it's creation I got many thank yous for doing so. > I am not setting a precedence here by having 2 discussion lists for a > state project, their are other state projects that have them, and > only one of those lists is a required list, the one pertaining to > announcements. > > Bridgett > > > On 11 Jul 98 at 9:00, TNGEN-L@rootsweb.com wrote: > > > Bridgett, I don't see any need for another list.
