Thanks for all of you who sent me files a couple of weeks ago. Remember I upgraded to Windows95 and deleted Netscape? It said that four files were missing. You all were good enough to send me the files. UPDATE When I replaced the files Windows then said another two were missing. nwnp32.dll and msnp32.dll I was determined to repair this problem on my own. I started searching message boards and behold, several were having this same problem. The supposed fixes ran from keep adding files to totally delete your harddrive and start again. But I thought with this many people having the same problem something more common must be wrong. SOLUTION After reading enough on Windows95 to become quite the expert I learned two things. Microsoft consists of a bunch of trained monkeys pushing switches and pulling levers. (Bill Gates for some reason reminds me of the Wizard from Wizard of OZ..."Pay no mind to the man behind the curtain.") True the solution came from the Microsoft Knowledge Base but it was nearly a full page. What it boiled down to was opening control panel and unchecking dialup communication. Now it no longer asks for files. (I do not use dialup networking with AOL) The problem came from my faulty installation of Netscape not the deletion of the original Netscape. During installation I made a mistake and checked dial up networking. After unchecking dialup in Control Panel and saying several prayers and promising God I would be a better person I rebooted. Problem solved! Now I don't care to keep my promise to God, I need to be a better person. What I do hate is telling my wife it was my mistake. I though "Tell her it was all Microsofts fault." Then I remembered I had promised to do a better person. Chip Union County TnGenWeb
