To the List: A listing of the 4,000 Tennesseans who applied to the Southern Claims Commission in 1871-1873, for restitituion of damages inflicted by the Union Army on their property during the Civil War, has just been posted on the Tenn. State Library & Archives web site. The list provides the claimant's name and county of residence. If you would like to have a copy of the list organized by county, please write me and specify which county you are interested in, and I can send you the information in a Word 6.0 doc file.
