What do you propose for those CCs that don't approve of this incorporation? What will be the status of their pages? Will there be two USGenWeb pages for that particular TN county, one sanctioned by your incorporation and one not sanctioned? I believe the National Project is moving in the direction of internal state controls as it has basically always been. It is trying to set up or lead in the direction of setting up some sort of grievance procedures for those who come into conflict with state guidelines. Why bring up this issue now? Why not wait to see how the National Project gets thru the election process and see if the bylaws pass before going on this route? It may be of interest to some to know that the Page Police, as you call them, were an idea that came out of the Kentucky project. While I do believe we need some consistancy to show we are members of the same project, I see no need of page police. As the State Coordinator for North Dakota and Regional Coordinator for West Tennessee, I rarely 'police' my CCs pages. I let them know when a link isn't working or make suggestions to help them improve the visitor's experience when viewing their pages. I've made mistakes in doing this with some CCs who didn't even know I was the RC for their region and from misreading pages but I do mean to be constructive and helpful to them instead of being a pain. As a CC myself, I do appreciate others who comment about my pages. I realize that I see my pages with rose colored glasses and need someone else with a different view to tell what works and what doesn't.
