UT-Knoxville is offering genealogy classes next semester -- both "regular" research and Internet-based. The University would like to contact genealogical societies in East Tennessee about getting copies of the organizations' mailing lists of "local" members. I offered to assist in contacting the societies, and it would be great if I could do it via e-mail rather than a trainload of long distance calls. If you have the e-mail address of an officer of a society in a county within a reasonable driving distance of Knoxville (say 60 miles), would you please forward it to me so I can get in touch with the organization? UT wants to send the mailings out by the end of this month, so I need to do this as quickly as possible. Thanks for your time and assistance.
