Hi folks, As you probably realize I have been up to my ears with things to do because of the change over. First of all, I understand that many of you feel cheated in the ability to vote on who you would like to be your State Coordinator, and believe me when I tell you I feel the same way. You can ask your Regional Coordinator that the first message I sent to them was that I would stay on as State Coordinator for a certain period of time (have not fully decided how long); at which time I felt that the CC's had a right to express their wishes as to who they would like to be their SC. Many of the thoughts expressed in this forum are mine also. Second of all, Nancy Cole has agreed to be the Asst. State Coordinator, I appreciate her volunteering to help me during this crazy period. Her e-mail address is [email protected] and would appreciate it if anyone who sends me an e-mail would also send her a copy of it by cc. That way both of us know what is going on. Also, probably a cc to your Regional Coordinator would be best also. I know some of the coordinators now have pages on rootsweb.com. Please be sure if you have links to the above counties you either change them or add them to your pages. On the subject of Microsoft's FrontPage. I am not familiar with this application. I don't know how many on this project has this application, nor if the cost of obtaining this application is steep. I will have to check into the USIT situation tomorrow on what they may offer (or maybe one of the RC's can do this and report back), if their only alternative is to have this application for self updating and loading of pages then this narrows our capabilities some I would think. But let's not worry about crossing that bridge until we find out everything first. AOL's Instant Messenger is good for all platforms, although there is no conferencing available. The other two applications can't be used with 3.11 or MAC, however you can set up conferencing. ICQ has a MAC version, however it is only good for e-mailing back and forth messages quickly. (I have a close cousin on a MAC is the only reason I know what can be used and can't). I think I've covered everything for now. Let's keep working together to keep the TNGenWeb project one of the best projects going in the USGenWeb organization.
